Quando a mãe de Daniel morre de cancro, ele não consegue entender o verdadeiro peso da sua perda.
Mas durante o primeiro Natal sem ela, o rapaz divide-se entre a necessidade de encontrar o seu rasto e o esforço de lidar com um pai desajeitado.
Inesperadamente, Daniel entra num momento da vida dos pais que talvez destrua, para sempre, a imagem terna que guarda da mãe.
