[My grandparents are an elderly couple who have lived together for 50 years. Their home is the place where they spend most of their time together, where they share their frustrations and their memories.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE
"The Joy of a Home" is a portrait of a daily life of my grandparents. It is an open window to their home, the place where they keep their memories and where they enjoy the autumn of their lives. My intention when making this film was to display this small world , located in the city of Oporto, where we can still find traces of rurality and a kind of a life that is not so common in the cities. This is a film about the people who guided me during the first steps of my life and the house where I lived during my childhood.]

NOTA DE INTENÇÕES
"Alegria do Lar" é um retrato da vida quotidiana dos meus avós. É uma janela aberta para o seu Lar, lugar onde guardam as suas memórias e onde agora desfrutam a sua velhice. A minha intenção ao fazer este filme foi mostrar este pequeno mundo, situado no meio da cidade do Porto, onde ainda podemos encontrar vestígios de ruralidade e de um tipo de vida que não é tão comum nas cidades. Este é um filme sobre as pessoas que me ensinaram a dar os primeiros passos e a casa onde eu vivi a minha infância.
