Like the European, the Portuguese have always considered the gipsies as traders with no scruples. The new phonomenon is that they now got involved in a business which, more than any other, is highly blamed by the public opionion - drugs traffic. Seduced by an easy profit and by a favourable way of living, they started to sell drugs they would not consume. Afterwards, like those usually playing with the fire, they also ended up burned.

The journalist Luís Pereira de Sousa looked for this gipsy community which has been marginalized by the drugs and of whom no one knows for sure whether they are victims or guilty.
