[Mena lives alone with her daughter Clara. Today is Clara’s seventh birthday. Despite her limited financial resources Mena still manages to organize a birthday party. But after a phone call from her mother she becomes distraught and anxious.

"The film looks at the complexity of the relationships between mothers and daughters, a subject that has interested me for a long time and that I had already begun to explore in film school. When I read Tiago Bastos Capitão's script, I knew immediately that it was the right project for me."
